ABCA7
-
Official Full Name
ATP-binding cassette, sub-family A (ABC1), member 7
-
Overview
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intracellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the ABC1 subfamily. Members of the ABC1 subfamily comprise the only major ABC subfamily found exclusively in multicellular eukaryotes. This protein is widely expressed with highest detection in spleen and hematopoietic tissues. The function of this protein has not yet been determined; however, a related human protein is thought to play a role in lipid homeostasis in cells of the immune system. -

Ask a questionOur products have full-length proteins and protein parts, you can check the details in the product overview.
ABCA7 is involved in lipid transport, phagocytosis, visual learning, and positive regulation of cholesterol efflux.
We do. Our products can be customized according to different needs of customers, and the labels that can be added include biotin, fluorescein, alexa flour, APC, etc.
ABCA7 loss of function significantly increases amyloid precursor protein proteolysis and amyloid-β production.
Expression systems such as HEK293 and CHO can be used.
Some studies added green fluorescent protein to the C-terminus of ABCA7, which did not affect the lipid release reaction.
Cumulative genetic evidence collected through genome-wide studies (GWAS) has identified ABCA7 variants as late-onset AD susceptibility loci, including rs3764650, rs3752246, and rs115550680.
ABCA7 limits amyloid-β production by regulating amyloid-β A4 precursor protein endocytosis and/or processing.
it does. But when phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylserine are present at the same time, ABCA7 will preferentially transport phosphatidylserine.
