CTNNA2
-
Official Full Name
catenin (cadherin-associated protein), alpha 2
-
Overview
May function as a linker between cadherin adhesion receptors and the cytoskeleton to regulate cell-cell adhesion and differentiation in the nervous system. Regulates morphological plasticity of synapses and cerebellar and hippocampal lamination during development. Functions in the control of startle modulation. -

CTNNA2 has several biochemical functions, for example, actin filament binding, cadherin binding, protein binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by CTNNA2 itself. We selected most functions CTNNA2 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with CTNNA2. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
