LDHD

  • Official Full Name

    lactate dehydrogenase D

  • Overview

    The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the D-isomer specific 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenase family. The similar protein in yeast has both D-lactate and D-glycerate dehydrogenase activities. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
  • Synonyms

    LDHD; lactate dehydrogenase D; probable D-lactate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial; D lactate dehydrogenase; DLD; MGC57726; D-lactate dehydrogenase;

LDHD has several biochemical functions, for example, D-lactate dehydrogenase (cytochrome) activity, flavin adenine dinucleotide binding, protein binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by LDHD itself. We selected most functions LDHD had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with LDHD. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

LDHD has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with LDHD here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of LDHD.
