Acyl-CoA:monoacylglycerol acyltransferase (MOGAT; EC 18.104.22.168) catalyzes the synthesis of diacylglycerols, the;precursor of physiologically important lipids such as triacylglycerol and phospholipids (Yen et al., 2002 (PubMed;12077311)).

MOGAT1 involved in several pathways and played different roles in them. We selected most pathways MOGAT1 participated on our site, such as Glycerolipid metabolism, Triacylglyceride Synthesis, triacylglycerol biosynthesis, which may be useful for your reference. Also, other proteins which involved in the same pathway with MOGAT1 were listed below. Creative Biomart supplied nearly all the proteins listed, you can search them on our site.
MOGAT1 has several biochemical functions, for example, 2-acylglycerol O-acyltransferase activity, diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by MOGAT1 itself. We selected most functions MOGAT1 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with MOGAT1. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
