MRAS

  • Official Full Name

    muscle RAS oncogene homolog

  • Overview

This gene encodes a member of the Ras family of small GTPases. These membrane-associated proteins function as signal transducers in multiple processes including cell growth and differentiation, and dysregulation of Ras signaling has been associated with many types of cancer. The encoded protein may play a role in the tumor necrosis factor-alpha and MAP kinase signaling pathways. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.

MRAS has several biochemical functions, for example, GTP binding, GTP-dependent protein binding, GTPase activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by MRAS itself. We selected most functions MRAS had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with MRAS. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

MRAS has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with MRAS here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of MRAS.
