SRI

Official Full Name
sorcin
-
Overview
Sorcin, also known as SRI, is a 22-kDa calcium-binding protein initially identified in multidrug-resistant cells. SRI modulates excitation-contraction coupling in the heart and contributes to calcium homeostasis in the heart sarcoplasmic reticulum. -

SRI involved in several pathways and played different roles in them. We selected most pathways SRI participated on our site, such as Ion channel transport, Stimuli-sensing channels, Transmembrane transport of small molecules, which may be useful for your reference. Also, other proteins which involved in the same pathway with SRI were listed below. Creative BioMart supplied nearly all the proteins listed, you can search them on our site.

SRI has several biochemical functions, for example, calcium channel regulator activity, calcium ion binding, calcium-dependent cysteine-type endopeptidase activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by SRI itself. We selected most functions SRI had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with SRI. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

SRI has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with SRI here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of SRI.
