Applications :
The Anti-Human CD4 FITC Antibody is a fluorochrome-conjugated monoclonal antibody for flow cytometric detection of CD4, a 55 kDa glycoprotein that functions as a co-receptor for the T-cell receptor (TCR) in MHC class II-restricted antigen recognition. CD4 is the defining marker of helper/inducer T lymphocytes and is also expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells at lower levels. CD4⁺ T-cell enumeration is a critical parameter for immune status monitoring — particularly in HIV/AIDS patient management where CD4 count guides clinical decision-making — and for assessing CD4/CD8 ratios in immunological research. Conjugated to fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC; Ex/Em: 495 nm / 519 nm), this antibody is compatible with standard flow cytometry instruments and multi-color lymphocyte subset analysis panels.
