Product Overview :

Iron is an essential trace element and a major component of hemoglobin, myoglobin, cytochromes, and other enzymes. It facilitates oxygen transport and lipid oxidation. Iron deficiency may cause anemia, metabolic disorders, and impaired immune function.
Hydroxylamine hydrochloride reduces Fe³⁺ to Fe²⁺, which reacts with o-phenanthroline under weak acidic conditions to form an orange-red complex with maximum absorbance at 510 nm. Absorbance measurement allows calculation of iron content.
