Product Overview :
Collagen fibers are the most abundant fibers in connective tissue, while elastic fibers are mainly distributed in arterial walls, alveolar septa, and skin. In routine histology, simultaneous visualization of both fiber types is often required to study their spatial relationships and interactions with other tissue components.
This EVG staining kit combines Verhoeff elastic fiber staining with modified Van Gieson collagen staining, enabling simultaneous staining on a single section with excellent color stability. After staining, elastic fibers appear purple-black, collagen fibers red, and muscle yellow.
The kit is suitable for evaluating pathological alterations of elastic and collagen fibers. It is free of picric acid, environmentally safer, easy to operate, and provides stable, bright, and high-contrast staining.
