Product Overview :

Amyloid is an extracellular eosinophilic substance lacking fixed morphology and composed primarily of proteins arranged in antiparallel β-pleated sheet structures. Congo red staining is the classical and most effective method for amyloid detection.
This kit contains Congo red staining solution and hematoxylin. Amyloid exhibits a higher affinity for Congo red than other tissue components, forming hydrogen bonds between hydroxyl groups and amino groups, resulting in red staining.
