Product Overview :
DPPH is a stable nitrogen-centered free radical and is widely used as an indicator of antioxidant capacity in food, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical research. DPPH solution appears purple in ethanol and shows strong absorption at 515 nm. In the presence of antioxidants, DPPH radicals are scavenged, resulting in decreased absorbance at 515 nm. The extent of absorbance reduction is proportional to the radical-scavenging ability of the sample.
Kit Components :
Extraction Buffer: 50 mL × 1 bottle, store at 4 °C
Reagent I: Anhydrous ethanol, 60 mL × 1 bottle (provided separately), store at room temperature
Reagent II: Powder × 1 vial, store at 4 °C; dissolve with Reagent I before use
Reagent III: Vitamin C standard, 10 mg × 1 vial, store at 4 °C
