Elastic Fiber Stain Kit (Victoria Blue Method)

Cat.No. :
Kit-3663
Product Overview :
Elastic fibers are mainly distributed in arterial walls, alveolar walls, and skin. Fresh elastic fibers appear yellow and exhibit strong refractivity. Common staining methods for elastic fibers include Gomori aldehyde fuchsin, resorcin–fuchsin, orcein, Victoria blue, and iron–iodine hematoxylin methods.
Victoria blue is a triphenylmethane dye that selectively stains elastic fibers and hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). It is resistant to overstaining and fading, producing stable staining results.
The Victoria Blue Elastic Fiber Staining Kit is modified from the Tanaka Victoria blue method and is suitable for demonstrating elastic fibers and hepatitis B surface antigen. Clinically, it is used to evaluate hyperplasia, fragmentation, or degeneration of elastic fibers in tissues to assist diagnosis.
