Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a retrovirus that infects cats and can cause a range of health problems such as anemia, cancer, and immune suppression. It is mainly transmitted through saliva, typically via mutual grooming, sharing food and water bowls, or biting. Some cats may eliminate the infection on their own, while others may develop persistent infections and long-term health issues. There is currently no cure for FeLV, but vaccines are available to help prevent its spread.
