Description :
Chlamydophila felis is a bacterial species that can cause conjunctivitis (inflammation of the membrane covering the eye) and respiratory illnesses in cats, including coughing, sneezing, and nasal discharge.
Mycoplasma felis is another bacterial species that may also lead to conjunctivitis and respiratory symptoms similar to those caused by Chlamydophila felis. In some cases, it may also be associated with polyarthritis (inflammation of multiple joints).
Applications :
• For detection in nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, or conjunctival swabs from cats exhibiting symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection.
• Suitable for qualitative detection of Mycoplasma felis, Chlamydophila felis, and feline 28S ribosomal DNA.
