Description :
Giardia lamblia, Cryptosporidium, and Trichomonas foetus are parasitic organisms that can infect felines. Giardia lamblia and Cryptosporidium are known to cause diarrhea, while Trichomonas foetus may lead to reproductive issues in cats.
Cats infected with Giardia lamblia or Cryptosporidium may exhibit symptoms such as diarrhea, weight loss, and vomiting. In some cases, the infection may cause bloody stools. In more severe instances, these parasites can also lead to dehydration.
Trichomonas foetus infection may result in reproductive problems, including infertility and miscarriage. In male cats, it may cause inflammation of the reproductive organs and a decrease in sperm count. Female cats may develop inflammation of the uterus and cervix. However, some infected cats may remain asymptomatic.
