Toxoplasma gondii & Bartonella henselae Dual Nucleic Acid Detection Kit

Product Overview :
Nucleic Acid Detection Kits for Cats
Description :
Toxoplasma gondii is a protozoan parasite that causes toxoplasmosis in humans and animals. Infection may be asymptomatic or present with mild symptoms such as lethargy, appetite loss, and fever. Cats excrete oocysts in their feces, contaminating soil, water, and surfaces, potentially infecting other animals and humans. Pregnant cats may pass the infection to their kittens. Many infected cats only shed the parasite briefly and may not show symptoms. Regular vet checkups and good hygiene can reduce the risk.
Bartonella henselae is a bacterium that can cause cat scratch disease in humans. It is commonly carried by cats, especially kittens, and transmitted through bites, scratches, or exposure to saliva and fleas. Symptoms in humans include swollen lymph nodes near the wound site, fever, headache, and fatigue. Rarely, more serious complications occur, especially in immunocompromised individuals.
