Product Overview :

L-LDH (EC 1.1.1.27) catalyzes the reversible conversion between pyruvate and L-lactate with concurrent interconversion of NAD⁺/NADH.
L-LDH catalyzes oxidation of L-lactate to pyruvate, which reacts with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine to form a brown-red hydrazone in alkaline conditions. Color intensity is proportional to pyruvate concentration and LDH activity.
