Lipid Fluorescent Staining Kit (Nile Red Method)

Cat.No. :
Kit-3704
Product Overview :
Lipids are low-polarity, hydrophobic biomolecules including fatty acids, glycerides, phospholipids, and sterols such as cholesterol. Cytoplasmic lipid droplets are normal cellular components, mainly composed of triglycerides for energy storage or cholesterol esters for cholesterol sequestration.
Nile Red is a lipophilic fluorescent oxazine dye that binds neutral lipids, triglycerides, wax esters, and fatty acids. Under 543 nm excitation, lipid droplets emit strong orange-yellow fluorescence (emission ~598 nm), and display red fluorescence under UV illumination.
This ready-to-use kit enables simultaneous in situ staining of lipids and nuclei. Lipid droplets appear orange-yellow under green excitation, while nuclei appear blue under UV excitation. Suitable for frozen sections and cultured cells, it provides high sensitivity and clear fluorescence signals.
