Product Overview :
Significance: LPO, formed by oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids, damages cell membranes and is associated with aging and immune responses.
Principle: LPO reacts under acidic conditions to form malondialdehyde (MDA), which condenses with thiobarbituric acid (TBA) to form a red adduct measured at 535 nm. Interference is corrected by subtracting absorbance at 600 nm.
