Product Overview :

Lipofuscin is a granular yellow-brown pigment composed of lipid-containing residues and lysosomal digestion products, thought to arise from oxidation of lipids and lipoproteins. It varies in staining behavior, color, size, and morphology and is typically located in the perinuclear region.
This kit uses the Gomori aldehyde fuchsin method to stain lipofuscin purple-red. The method is also applicable to pancreatic cells, pituitary β cells, elastic fibers, sulfated mucins, and gastric chief cells.
