Product Overview :

Reactive oxygen species induce lipid peroxidation of unsaturated fatty acids, producing lipid peroxides that degrade into malondialdehyde (MDA). Detection of MDA provides an index of lipid oxidative damage.
MDA condenses with thiobarbituric acid under acidic, high-temperature conditions to form a colored product with a characteristic absorbance peak at 532 nm, allowing colorimetric quantification.
