Methylene Blue-Acid Fuchsin Stain Kit

Cat.No. :
Kit-3731
Product Overview :
Bone tissue is classified into mineralized bone and cartilage. Cartilage consists of chondrocytes and extracellular matrix, together with the surrounding perichondrium. Various staining methods are available for bone histology, including toluidine blue, Alcian blue, Safranin O, Safranin O–Fast Green, and Goldner’s trichrome staining. Methylene blue–acid fuchsin staining provides clear visualization of osteoblasts, cellular matrix, and osteoid.
After staining, hydroxyapatite coatings on implant surfaces appear purple-red. Osteoblasts, nuclei, and osteoid are distinctly visualized: osteoblast nuclei stain dark blue, cellular matrix light blue, and osteoid purple-gray. Newly formed bone appears dark red and is sharply demarcated from the implant–bone interface, whereas pre-existing mineralized bone appears red with a less distinct boundary relative to new bone.
