Product Overview :
Laccase is a copper-containing polyphenol oxidase belonging to the blue copper oxidase family. It is widely distributed in fungi and higher plants and is extensively used in pulp biobleaching, pollutant degradation, lignocellulose processing, and biosensing.
Laccase oxidizes ABTS to generate ABTS radicals, which exhibit a much higher absorbance coefficient than the substrate at 420 nm. The rate of absorbance increase is used to calculate laccase activity.
