Modified Bielschowsky’s Stain Kit

Kit-3739
Product Overview :
Neurons are the fundamental structural and functional units of the nervous system, consisting of a cell body, dendrites, and a long axon forming nerve fibers. Silver impregnation methods are commonly used for neuron and nerve fiber visualization.
The Bielschowsky method involves silver impregnation of fixed tissue followed by reduction, resulting in silver deposition within axoplasm. Neurofibrils appear as dense networks extending into dendrites and axons.
This method is useful for diagnosing and differentiating certain nervous system tumors. Neurofibromas and ganglioneurofibromas are positive, whereas schwannomas are typically negative.
