Product Overview :

Oil Red O staining is used to visualize lipid degeneration and abnormal lipid deposition in tissues such as liver, kidney, and heart. The dye preferentially dissolves into neutral lipid droplets, producing orange to red staining. Ethanol-based fixatives and paraffin embedding should be avoided; frozen or resin sections are recommended.
