Product Overview :

Papanicolaou staining is a routine cytological staining method originally developed for evaluating estrogen levels in vaginal epithelium and detecting pathogens. The combination of Orange G6 with EA36 or EA50 produces distinct green, blue, and pink cytoplasmic staining.
Modern Pap stains provide polychromatic staining with excellent cytoplasmic transparency and clear nuclear membrane, nucleoli, and chromatin structures. Harris hematoxylin is typically used for nuclear staining, while EA36 or EA50 is used for cytoplasmic staining.
The Papanicolaou EA50 Staining Kit uses EA50 for cytoplasmic staining and a non-toxic modified hematoxylin for nuclear staining. It is suitable for gynecological cytology (e.g., cervical cancer screening) as well as non-gynecological samples such as pleural effusion, ascites, and sputum.
