Serum total iron binding capacity (TIBC) test kit

Product Overview :
Excess iron is added to the serum to ensure that all the transferrin in the serum is bound to iron. An iron adsorbent is then added to adsorb the excess iron. The iron content is subsequently measured using a serum iron assay, and this value is referred to as the total iron-binding capacity (TIBC). By subtracting the serum iron value from the TIBC, the unsaturated iron-binding capacity (UIBC) is obtained.

Kit Components :
Reagent A: Liquid, 21mL × 1 bottle, stored at 4°C.
Reagent B: Powder × 1 bottle, stored at room temperature.
Reagent 1: Liquid, 26mL × 1 bottle, stored at 4°C.
Reagent 2: Powder × 2 vials, stored at 4°C.
Before use, shake well or centrifuge to bring the powder to the bottom, then add 1.2mL of distilled water to each vial to dissolve and prepare for use. Reagent 3: Liquid, 2mL × 1 vial, stored at 4°C.
Standard: Liquid, 1mL × 1 vial, stored at 4°C.
Before use, dilute the standard with Reagent 3 by 50 times (i.e., take 10μL of the standard into an EP tube, then add 490μL of Reagent 3) to prepare a 2mg/L, which is 35.82 μmol/L, iron standard solution.
