Serum/Plasma Albumin Removal Kit (Precipitation Method)

Cat.No. :
Kit-3801
Product Overview :
Albumin is a highly water-soluble globular protein accounting for approximately 50–60% of total serum or plasma protein, with a molecular weight of ~66 kDa. Its primary physiological functions include maintenance of nutritional balance and osmotic pressure. However, the high abundance of albumin interferes with detection of other proteins, particularly low-abundance targets.
This kit enables efficient removal of albumin from serum or plasma samples using a precipitation-based method, without the need for specialized instrumentation. More than 95% of albumin can be depleted. The processed samples are suitable for downstream applications such as Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and ELISA-based analyses and are compatible with serum or plasma from multiple species.
