Tartrate-Resistant Acid Phosphatase (TRAP)-Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) Stain Kit

Cat.No. :
Kit-3819
Product Overview :
Acid phosphatase (ACP) is widely distributed in tissues and is predominantly localized in lysosomes, serving as a lysosomal marker enzyme with an optimal pH of 4.5–5.5. Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) is found in alveolar macrophages, spleens of leukemia patients, and induced osteoclasts.
Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) is a phosphomonoesterase widely expressed in mammalian tissues, particularly at sites of active material exchange such as intestinal epithelium, renal proximal tubule brush borders, epididymal stereocilia, bile canalicular membranes, vascular endothelium, and osteogenically induced primary or mesenchymal stem cells. Its optimal pH ranges from 9.2 to 9.8.
This kit provides TRAP and ALP staining solutions for sequential staining on the same section. TRAP-positive sites appear purple-red, while ALP-positive sites appear blue to blue-violet. The kit is suitable for frozen bone sections, cultured cells, and cell smears. Due to loss of ALP activity during dehydration and embedding, paraffin sections are not recommended.
