Tissue Gram Staining Kit

Cat.No. :
Kit-3821
Product Overview :
The Gram staining method was developed by Danish physician Christian Gram in 1884 and remains one of the most widely used differential staining techniques in bacteriology. It differentiates bacteria into Gram-positive (G⁺) and Gram-negative (G⁻) groups based on differences in cell wall permeability to ethanol and resistance to decolorization, primarily determined by the thickness and structure of the peptidoglycan layer.
This staining kit is an improved version of the traditional Gram staining method and is particularly suitable for identifying bacterial infections in tissue sections. Bacteria are stained dark purple or pink, while the tissue background is counterstained yellow, enabling clear visualization of bacterial presence within tissues.
