Urea Nitrogen/Urea Content Assay Kit

Cat.No. :
Kit-3943
Product Overview :
Significance of Measurement: Urea nitrogen (urea) is the major end product of protein metabolism in the human body and constitutes the majority of non-protein nitrogen in blood. Blood urea nitrogen is one of the most important indicators of renal function.
Principle of Measurement: Urease catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea to produce ammonia. The generated ammonia reacts via the indophenol blue colorimetric method to form a blue-colored compound. The intensity of the blue color is directly proportional to the urea nitrogen concentration.
