Description : | This gene is highly similar to the v-src gene of Rous sarcoma virus. This proto-oncogene may play a role in the regulation of embryonic development and cell growth. The protein encoded by this gene is a tyrosine-protein kinase whose activity can be inhibited by phosphorylation by c-SRC kinase. Mutations in this gene could be involved in the malignant progression of colon cancer. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. |
Source : | Insect cells |
Species : | Human |
Tag : | His/GST |
Predicted N Terminal : | Met |
Form : | Supplied as sterile 50mM Tris, 100mM NaCl, pH 8.0, 20% gly, 0.3mM DTT |
Bio-activity : | The specific activity was determined to be 27 nmol/min/mg using Poly(Glu:Tyr) 4:1 as substrate. |
Molecular Mass : | The recombinant human SRC/GST chimera consists of 773 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 87.7 KDa. It migrates as an approximately 81 KDa band in SDS-PAGE under non-reduced conditions. |
Endotoxin : | < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method |
Purity : | > 90 % as determined by SDS-PAGE |
Stability : | Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -70 centigrade |
Storage : | Store it under sterile conditions at -20 centigrade to -80 centigrade. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
Shipping : | Kinases are highly recommended to be shipped at frozen temperature with blue ice or dry ice. Shipment made at ambient temperature may seriously affect the activity of the ordered products. |
