DEFB4
-
Official Full Name
defensin beta 4
-
Overview
Defensins form a family of microbicidal and cytotoxic peptides made by neutrophils. Members of the defensin family are highly similar in protein sequence. This gene encodes defensin, beta 4, an antibiotic peptide which is locally regulated by inflammation. -

Q&As (6)
Ask a questionYes, the expression of DEFB4 is affected by environmental factors, such as nutritional status, inflammation level, microbial infection, etc.
DEFB4 expression can be regulated by techniques such as gene knockout, gene silencing, or gene transduction. In addition, environmental factors (e.g., nutrition, inflammation, etc.) can also affect its expression levels.
Yes, there are other coding variants of DEFB4 that may have different functions and expression patterns.
Studying DEFB4 can help to gain insight into the mechanisms of immune response and inflammatory response, which is of great significance for the development of new drugs and therapeutic strategies. In addition, it is also of great value for understanding the pathogenesis and prevention of diseases.
Studies have shown that DEFB4 can inhibit the occurrence of muscle atrophy, but the specific mechanism is not yet clear.
DEFB4 can be used as a target for the development of new drugs, or as a drug carrier for the directional delivery of drugs.
Customer Reviews (3)
Write a reviewUnder the influence of temperature, humidity and light, this protein is stable and durable.
DEFB4 is immunogenic and allergenic, which is even more important for proteins used in drug development.
The consistency and reliability of this protein are good.
