LIPH

  • Official Full Name

    lipase, member H

  • Overview

This gene encodes a membrane-bound member of the mammalian triglyceride lipase family. It catalyzes the production of 2-acyl lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), which is a lipid mediator with diverse biological properties that include platelet aggregation, smooth muscle contraction, and stimulation of cell proliferation and motility.

LIPH has several biochemical functions, for example, carboxylic ester hydrolase activity, heparin binding, phospholipase activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by LIPH itself. We selected most functions LIPH had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with LIPH. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

LIPH has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with LIPH here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of LIPH.
