When experiments are performed with CCR5, stable and reproducible results can be obtained.

    01/13/2023

CCR5 has a high yield and good economic benefits.

      07/12/2022

CCR5 exerts the expected biological effects in experiments.

        Q&As (6)

        Ask a question
What is the main function of CCR5 protein in the human body? 04/12/2022

In the human body, CCR5 protein is mainly involved in the regulation of the immune system, it acts as a chemokine receptor, which can sense the signal of the site of inflammation and guide immune cells to reach the site of inflammation, thus playing a role in immune response.

How about the unsolved questions or future research directions for CCR5 protein? 03/15/2021

There are still many unsolved questions and future research directions for CCR5 protein. For example, we need to better understand the structure-function relationship of CCR5, explore the interaction of CCR5 with other proteins and their potential implications, and develop more potent and selective CCR5 antagonists.

In immunotherapy, how to use the function of CCR5 for disease treatment? 09/10/2020

In immunotherapy, the function of CCR5 can be used for disease treatment, such as affecting the migration and activation of immune cells by regulating the expression or function of CCR5, so as to achieve the purpose of treating inflammatory diseases or autoimmune diseases. In addition, antibodies or antagonists against CCR5 may also be considered to inhibit its binding to ligands to further modulate the immune response.

What is the interaction of CCR5 protein with other receptors or signaling pathways? 08/18/2020

CCR5 protein can interact with other receptors and signaling pathways. For example, in some cancer cells, CCR5 binds to EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor), triggering EGFR activation and promoting tumor cell growth and metastasis. In addition, CCR5 is also involved in the regulation of signaling pathways such as MAPK (mitogen-activated protein kinase) and PI3K (phosphatidylinositol kinase).

How can gene editing technology be used to modify or treat the CCR5 gene? 06/13/2020

Gene editing technology such as CRISPR-Cas9 can be used to modify or treat the CCR5 gene. By editing the CCR5 gene, the expression of CCR5 protein can be regulated or its function can be changed. This technique is expected to be used in the future to treat some genetic diseases or cancers associated with CCR5.

How can CCR5 protein be used for disease treatment? 05/29/2020

One way to use CCR5 protein for disease treatment is to use CCR5 antagonists, which are drugs that prevent CCR5 from binding to ligands. There are already a number of CCR5 antagonists in clinical trials for the treatment of diseases such as AIDS and rheumatoid arthritis.
