Description : | The interleukin 2 receptor, which is involved in T cell-mediated immune responses, is present in 3 forms with respect to ability to bind interleukin 2. The low affinity form is a monomer of the alpha subunit and is not involved in signal transduction. The intermediate affinity form consists of an alpha/beta subunit heterodimer, while the high affinity form consists of an alpha/beta/gamma subunit heterotrimer. Both the intermediate and high affinity forms of the receptor are involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis and transduction of mitogenic signals from interleukin 2. The protein encoded by this gene represents the beta subunit and is a type I membrane protein. The use of alternative promoters results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein. The protein is primarily expressed in the hematopoietic system. The use by some variants of an alternate promoter in an upstream long terminal repeat (LTR) results in placenta-specific expression. |

Write a reviewImmunogenicity is very weak and does not cause an immune response.
Detection method is very sensitive and can detect trace amounts of protein.
Preparation process is very simple and can be easily prepared.
Q&As (6)
Ask a questionIt is an artificial protein prepared by genetic engineering techniques that can mimic the natural IL-2R beta subunit and is used to explore how to treat cancer and autoimmune diseases by regulating the IL-2 signaling pathway.
There has shown good therapeutic effect in the treatment of some tumors (such as lung cancer, melanoma, etc.), but the specific efficacy varies with the patient's condition, treatment timing and other factors.
This protein can simulate the natural IL-2R beta subunit and participate in the IL-2 signaling pathway, thereby enhancing the body's immunity.
IL2RB is associated with a variety of cancers (such as gastric cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, lymphoma, etc.) and autoimmune diseases (such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, etc.).
IL2RB can be used as a new therapeutic method, but it does not mean that it can replace traditional therapeutic methods. In the course of specific treatment, different treatment methods should be considered according to the condition.
IL2RB may produce some side effects, including fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, etc., but the incidence of different side effects is low.
