Description : |
HIPK4 (Homeodomain Interacting Protein Kinase 4) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that belongs to the HIPK (Homeodomain Interacting Protein Kinase) family of kinases. It is involved in the regulation of a variety of cellular processes, including transcriptional regulation, cell proliferation, and apoptosis. Research has suggested that HIPK4 plays a role in several diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders. In cancer, HIPK4 has been shown to promote tumor cell survival and proliferation, and alterations in HIPK4 expression and activity have been observed in various types of cancer. Additionally, HIPK4 has been implicated in the regulation of neural development and has been linked to developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder. HIPK4 has also been suggested as a potential therapeutic target in cancer, and efforts to develop small-molecule inhibitors of the kinase are underway. |

Applications : |
Drug Discovery & Development |
Storage : |
1 year at -70 centigrade. |
Handling Advice : |
Rapidly thaw the vial under cold water and immediately place on ice. Aliquot unused material into prechilled micro-centrifuge tubes and immediately snap-freeze the vials in liquid nitrogen prior to re-storage at -70 centigrade. |
Use/Stability : |
On receipt of material store at -70 centigrade. Unopened reagent is stable for a minimum of 1 year from date of shipment when stored at recommended storage temperature. Avoid repeat freeze/thaw cycles. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge original vial prior to removing the cap. |
