Description : Death-associated protein kinase 1 (DAPK1) is a calcium/calmodulin-dependent kinase that phosphorylates serine/threonine residues on proteins. DAPK1 modulates cell death induced by IFN-γ, TNF-α, Fas, and detachment from the extracellular matrix. DAPK1 has been also implicated in TGF-β-induced apoptosis in several cultured cell lines in which Smad proteins mediate transcriptional activation of DAPK1.

Ask a question
What is the specific role of DAPK1 in apoptosis? 05/04/2022

DAPK1 plays an important role in apoptosis, which can promote the process of apoptosis.

How can diseases be treated by regulating DAPK1 levels? 08/16/2021

There are currently no drugs that directly regulate DAPK1 levels, but some DAPK1-related diseases can be treated by modulating its activity or regulating its expression.

What is the relationship of DAPK1 to other genes or proteins? 06/23/2020

DAPK1 has a complex relationship with other genes or proteins, and can interact with other genes or proteins to participate in a variety of biochemical reactions.

How to detect and analyze mutations in DAPK1? 05/12/2020

Mutations in DAPK1 can be detected and analyzed by methods such as whole-genome sequencing or target region sequencing to understand the impact of mutations on protein structure and function.

What are the mutation types of DAPK1? 04/20/2020

The types of mutations in DAPK1 include point mutations, insertions/deletions, duplications, etc., which may cause structural and functional abnormalities of the protein.

How to study the regulatory mechanism of DAPK1? 01/09/2020

Studying the regulatory mechanism of DAPK1 requires a comprehensive use of various experimental methods and techniques, such as gene knockout, transcriptome analysis, and protein-protein interactions.
