Cat. No. : LEFTY1-1915H
Description : Lefty (left-right determination factors) are proteins that are closely related members of the TGF-beta family of growth factors. These proteins are secreted and play a role in left-right asymmetry determination of organ systems during development. Mutations of the genes encoding these proteins have been associated with left-right axis malformations, particularly in the heart and lungs.
Source : Human 293 cells.
Activity : 10 to 40 ng/mL ED50.
Purity : >90%.
Endotoxin : Endotoxin-free.
Molecular Mass : 38 kDa, monomer, glycosylated.
Purity Confirmation : The protein was resolved by SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and the gel was stained with Coomassie blue.
Activity Assay : The specific activity was determined by dose dependent ability to inhibit BMP-4 (6.5 ng/mL) induction of alkaline phosphatase production in the MC-3T3-E1 cell line (Mouse chondrogenic cell line).
