Background : | CD184 is also known as CXCR4 or fusin, a 45 kDa seven transmembrane G-protein-linked chemokine receptor for SDF-1. CD184 is expressed on Sox17+/FoxA2+ definitive endoderm (DE) cells that can be derived from pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) in vitro. DE differentiation is induced by high doses of Activin A in combination with Wnt and FGF pathway activation. 3-5 days after induction, DE cells can be isolated based on CD184. |

Q&As (7)
Ask a questionCXCR4 participates in chemotaxis and migration of immune cells, facilitating their movement toward specific tissues during the immune response.
Specific chemokines or ligands, such as CXCL12, bind to CXCR4, influencing its role in immune cell activation and recruitment.
CXCR4 is predominantly localized on the cell surface of immune cells, particularly within the membrane of T cells and monocytes.
Dysregulation or abnormal expression of CXCR4 is associated with diseases such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, and autoimmune disorders, particularly affecting immune cell function.
There are potential therapeutic implications related to CXCR4 in diseases involving immune dysregulation and inflammation, making it a target for drug development.
CXCR4 contributes to the regulation of inflammatory responses and immune cell trafficking in various tissues, influencing the outcome of immune reactions.
C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4) plays a crucial role in cellular processes, primarily contributing to immune responses and cell migration.
