Rabbit Anti-Human Carboxypeptidase M Monoclonal Antibody

Cat.No.: CAB11517RH
Product Overview: Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody to Human Carboxypeptidase M
Antigen Description: Carboxypeptidase M, also known as CPM, is a membrane-bound arginine /lysine carboxypeptidase which is a member of the carboxypeptidases family. These enzymes remove C-terminal amino acids from peptides and proteins and exert roles in the physiological processes of blood coagulation/fibrinolysis, inflammation, food digestion and pro-hormone and neuropeptide processing. Among the carboxypeptidases CPM is of particular importance because of its constitutive expression in an active form at the surface of specialized cells and tissues in the human body. CPM in the brain appears to be membrane-bound via a phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor. CPM is widely distributed in a variety of tissues and cells. The amino acid sequence of CPM indicated that the C-terminal hydrophobic region might be a signal for membrane attachment via a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor. CPM is involved in peptide metabolism on both the cell surface and in extracellular fluids. CPM functions not only as a protease but also as a binding partner in cell-surface protein-protein interactions.
Specificity: Human Carboxypeptidase M / CPM. No cross-reactivity with human cell lysate ( 293 cell line ) in WB and ELISA.
Immunogen: Recombinant Human Carboxypeptidase M / CPM Protein
Host: Rabbit
Isotype: Rabbit IgG
Species: Human
Clone: A106
Applications: WB; ELISA
Dilution: Western blot: This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CPM in WB.Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Human CPM is approximately 0.5 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and 0.25 ng/lane under reducing conditions.ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CPM. The detection limit for Human CPM is approximately 0.0049 ng/well.
Preparation: This antibody was obtained from a rabbit immunized with purified, human cell-derived, recombinant Human Carboxypeptidase M / CPM
Format: 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose
Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2-8 °C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 to -70°C. Preservative-Free.Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
