Cat. No. : BMX-654H
Description : The BMX gene encodes a non-receptor tyrosine kinase, which may play a role in the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. The BMX gene is located on chromosomal band Xp22.2 between the DXS197 and DXS207 loci. Interestingly, chromosome X also contains the closest relative of BMX, the BTK gene, implicated in X-linked agammaglobulinemia. BMX, is found to induce activation of the Stat signaling pathway.
Source : Escherichia coli.
Biochem/physiol Actions : The BMX gene encodes a novel non-receptor tyrosine kinase, which may play a role in the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. Bmx induces the activation of the Stat-signaling pathway.
Unit Definition : Kinase activity is measured as the molar amount of phosphate incorporated into Poly Glu-Tyr substrate per minute per mg protein at 30 °C using a final concentration of 50 μM [32P]-ATP.
Physical Form : Solution of 50 μL in 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150 mM NaCl, 0.25 mM DTT, 0.1 mM EGTA, and 30% glycerol.
Assay : ≥85% (SDS-PAGE).
Form : buffered aqueous glycerol solution.
Mol Wt : apparent mol wt ~110 kDa.
Storage Temp : −70°C.
Pathways : Apoptosis
