Inosine Assay Kit

Cat.No. : Kit-0477
Product Overview : The Inosine Assay Kit provides a simple and direct procedure for measuring inosine in a variety of samples. Inosine concentration is determined by a coupled enzyme reaction in which inosine is converted to hypoxanthine which reacts with the substrate mix and probe, resulting in a fluorometric product (Ex/Em = 535/587 nm), proportional to the inosine present.

Ask a question
How is inosine produced in RNA? 03/31/2022

Inosine is produced when the enzyme adenosine deaminase acts on adenosine, converting it to inosine by removing the amino group.

Can inosine have therapeutic applications? 02/15/2022

Inosine has been investigated for potential therapeutic applications, including in the treatment of certain medical conditions.

What is the function of inosine in RNA? 07/30/2021

Inosine in RNA can act as a "wobble" base, allowing it to pair with multiple different nucleotides, expanding the coding capacity of the genetic code.

What is inosine? 03/09/2021

Inosine is a nucleoside, which consists of a base called hypoxanthine and a ribose sugar.

Where is inosine found? 02/09/2020

Inosine is found in RNA molecules and is produced during the deamination of adenosine.

Can inosine be involved in RNA editing? 07/28/2019

Yes, inosine can be formed by the deamination of adenosine in a process known as RNA editing, which can alter the genetic code of RNA.

Is inosine associated with any diseases or medical conditions? 02/26/2018

Inosine and RNA editing are associated with various diseases, including neurological disorders. Dysregulation of RNA editing can have pathological consequences.
