Ask a question
What is the function of ABCA3? 04/14/2023

ABCA3 catalyzes the ATP-dependent transport of phospholipids such as phosphatidylglycerol and phosphatidylcholine from the cytoplasm to the lumen of the lamellar bodies, and then participates in lamellar bodies biogenesis and homeostasis of lung surfactant. Preferential transport of phosphatidylcholine containing short acyl chains. In addition, it acts as an efflux transporter for miltefosine across the macrophage membrane, as well as through intralumenal vesicles to remove free cholesterol (FC) as a surfactant component and protect cells from free cholesterol toxicity.

How pure is your ABCA3 product? 04/14/2023

The purity of our recombinant proteins is generally above 80%. And we can produce higher purity ABCA3 protein according to your requirements, such as crystalline grade protein.

I am going to purchase ABCA3 products, will you provide detailed instructions for use? 04/14/2023

Of course, in addition to this, we will provide MSDS files.

Do you test ABCA3 protein products for endotoxin levels? 04/14/2023

We can detect and remove endotoxins from protein products upon request. Please consult our technical experts for specific services.

What physiological processes are ABCA3 proteins involved in? 04/14/2023

ABCA3 transporters may be involved in the development of resistance to xenobiotics and engulfment during programmed cell death.

Which protein family does ABCA3 protein belong to? 04/14/2023

ABCA3 is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters and a member of the ABC1 subfamily.

Can you provide ABCA3 proteins from other species besides humans and mice? 04/14/2023

Our experts can perform customized protein expression according to the research needs of our customers.

Why does your ABCA3 protein use His and GST tags? 04/14/2023

His and GST tags are commonly used for purification and are beneficial for improving protein solubility and downstream applications.

What are your recombinant ABCA3 hosts? 04/14/2023

Our recombinant ABCA3 proteins are expressed from E. coli and mammalian cells.

Does ABCA3 correlate with lung health and disease? 04/14/2023

ABCA3 is a highly conserved transmembrane protein that plays a key role in regulating pulmonary surfactant homeostasis, and mutations in this protein have been increasingly recognized as a cause of inherited lung disease.
