Description : IFNG, also known as interferon gamma, is secreted by lymphocytes stimulatedby mitogen and is involved in the differentiation, maturation, andproliferation of hematopoietic cells. Nature human IFNG is composed of 143amino acid residues without cysteine residues and is glycosylated.Proteolytic processing produces C-terminal heterogeneity, with proteinsending alternatively at Gly-150, Met-157 or Gly-161.
