Description : This gene encodes a component of the condensin-2 complex. The encoded protein may regulate the structure of mitotic chromosomes. Loss of function of this gene disrupts T-cell development. There are two pseudogenes for this gene on chromosome 17. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
