MECR
-
Official Full Name
mitochondrial trans-2-enoyl-CoA reductase
-
Overview
Catalyzes the reduction of trans-2-enoyl-CoA to acyl-CoA with chain length from C6 to C16 in an NADPH-dependent manner with preference to medium chain length substrate. May have a role in the mitochondrial synthesis of fatty acids. -

MECR involved in several pathways and played different roles in them. We selected most pathways MECR participated on our site, such as Fatty acid elongation, Metabolic pathways, Fatty acid metabolism, which may be useful for your reference. Also, other proteins which involved in the same pathway with MECR were listed below. Creative BioMart supplied nearly all the proteins listed, you can search them on our site.

MECR has several biochemical functions, for example, trans-2-enoyl-CoA reductase (NADPH) activity, zinc ion binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by MECR itself. We selected most functions MECR had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with MECR. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

MECR has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with MECR here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of MECR.
