Description : |
Interleukin-25 (IL-25) is a cytokine that shares sequence similarity with interleukin 17. This cytokine can induce NF-kappaB activation, and stimulate the production of interleukin 8. Both this cytokine and interleukin 17B are ligands for the cytokine receptor IL17BR. IL-25 is a member of the IL-17 family of cytokines. However, unlike the other members of this family, IL-25 promotes T helper (Th) 2 responses. IL-25 also regulates the development of autoimmune inflammation mediated by IL-17–producing T cells. IL-25 and IL-17, being members of the same cytokine family, play opposing roles in the pathogenesis of organ-specific autoimmunity. |

Endotoxin : |
<0.1 EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method. |
Bio-activity : |
Measured by its ability to induce CXCL1 secretion in HT‑29 cells. The ED50 for this effect is <1 ng/mL. |
Purity : |
>98% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Ni-NTA chromatography |
Storage Buffer : |
The protein was lyophilized from a solution containing 20 mM sodium citrate, 0.2 M NaCl, pH 4.5. |
Reconstitution : |
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized protein in sterile H2O to a concentration not less than 100 μg/mL and incubate the stock solution for at least 20 min to ensure sufficient re-dissolved. |
Storage : |
Lyophilized protein should be stored at -20°C. Upon reconstitution, protein aliquots should be stored at -20°C or -80°C. |
Notes : |
Please use within one month after protein reconstitution. |
