Ask a question
Are there any specific signaling pathways or cellular cues that modulate ABCE1 activity or function? 11/03/2022

it is plausible that cellular stress responses, such as nutrient availability, environmental stresses, or cellular growth signals, could impact ABCE1 function and localization

What is the relationship between ABCE1 and other ribosome-associated factors involved in translation termination and ribosome recycling? 07/12/2022

It directly interacts with eukaryotic release factors eRF1 and eRF3, facilitating the dissociation of post-termination ribosomal complexes. These interactions contribute to the overall coordination of translation termination and ribosome recycling processes.

What is the evolutionary conservation of ABCE1 across different species? 03/10/2022

ABCE1 is evolutionarily conserved across different species, indicating its importance in fundamental cellular processes. It is found in a wide range of organisms, including bacteria, archaea, and eukaryotes.

What sununit does ABCE1 interact with? 04/17/2021

ABCE1 interacts with PINK1, CNOT4 and PELO. What's more,it probably heterodimerizes with RNASEL; this interaction inhibits RNASEL.

How is ABCE1 localization regulated within the cell? 03/12/2021

It is known to associate with ribosomes and is generally considered to be a cytoplasmic protein

What is the three-dimensional structure of ABCE1 and how has it been determined? 02/09/2021

The three-dimensional structure of ABCE1 has been determined using X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy techniques. It consists of two main domains: the nucleotide-binding domain (NBD) and the C-terminal domain (CTD)

Does ABCE1 play a role in cellular stress responses, such as oxidative stress or heat shock? 12/18/2020

ABCE1 has been implicated in cellular stress responses. It is involved in stress granule formation, which is a cellular response to various stresses, including oxidative stress and heat shock. Stress granules are dynamic cytoplasmic aggregates that sequester untranslated mRNAs and RNA-binding proteins during stress conditions.

In which cellular pathways does ABCE1 paticipate? 11/22/2020

Cotranslational quality control factor involved in the No-Go Decay (NGD) pathway

How does the three-dimensional structure of ABCE1 contribute to its function? 08/28/2020

The NBD binds and hydrolyzes ATP, while the CTD contributes to protein-protein interactions involved in ribosome recycling.

which kind of microbial infection may happen to ABCE1? 07/03/2020

Interacts with HIV-1 proteins Vif and Gag

Are there any cellular processes that ABCE1 has been implicated? 04/19/2020

ABCE1 has been implicated in cellular processes, including ribosome biogenesis, RNA degradation, and RNA interference.

What iis the main fuction of ABCE1? 12/30/2019

The main function of ABCE1 is to participate in translation termination, which is a crucial step in protein synthesis

What is the subcellular location of ABCE1? 12/30/2019

ABCE1 participates in multiple cellular pathways and processes. Apart from its role in ribosome recycling, it is also involved in mRNA surveillance, RNA quality control, and the assembly of stress granules.

Does ABCE1 have any non-canonical functions or interactions outside of its known roles? 12/16/2018

While ABCE1's primary known roles are in ribosome recycling and mRNA surveillance, emerging evidence suggests it may have additional functions and interactions. Some studies have indicated potential involvement in DNA repair processes and modulation of microRNA activity

Are there any post-translational modifications known to impact ABCE1 activity or function? 04/15/2018

Post-translational modifications can impact ABCE1 activity or function. For example, phosphorylation has been shown to modulate ABCE1's interaction with other proteins involved in translation termination and ribosome recycling.

What diseases can be caused by mutations or dysregulation of ABCE1? 12/04/2017

Pontocerebellar hypoplasia (PCH), Breast cancer and Viral infections are related to ABCE1's involvement.

How does ABCE1 regulate in the cell? 03/15/2017

It is known that ABCE1 activity can be modulated by various factors, including post-translational modifications and interactions with other proteins.

Are there any known interacting partners or binding partners of ABCE1? 09/29/2016

ABCE1 has been found to interact with several proteins involved in ribosome recycling and RNA metabolism. Some of its known interacting partners include eukaryotic release factors eRF1 and eRF3, as well as other ribosomal proteins.

which family does ABCE1 belongs to? 08/08/2016

Belongs to the ABC transporter superfamily. ABCE family.

What is the role of ABCE1 in embryonic development or tissue-specific processes? 03/24/2016

given its involvement in fundamental cellular processes such as translation termination and ribosome recycling, it is likely to play essential roles in these processes during development and in specific tissues
