Description : Antigen standard for ArfGAP with SH3 domain, ankyrin repeat and PH domain 2 (ASAP2), transcript variant 1 is a lysate prepared from HEK293T cells transiently transfected with a TrueORF gene-carrying pCMV plasmid and then lysed in RIPA Buffer. Protein concentration was determined using a colorimetric assay. The antigen control carries a C-terminal Myc/DDK tag for detection.
Source : HEK 293 cells
Species : Human
Components : This product includes 3 vials: 1 vial of gene-specific cell lysate, 1 vial of control vector cell lysate, and 1 vial of loading buffer. Each lysate vial contains 0.1 mg lysate in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of RIPA Buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl pH7.5, 250 mM NaCl, 5 mM EDTA, 50 mM NaF, 1% NP40). The loading buffer vial contains 0.5 ml 2X SDS Loading Buffer (125 mM Tris-Cl, pH6.8, 10% glycerol, 4% SDS, 0.002% Bromophenol blue, 5% beta-mercaptoethanol).
Size : 0.1 mg
Storage Instruction : Store at -80°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. After addition of 2X SDS Loading Buffer, the lysates can be stored at -20°C. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment.
Applications : ELISA, WB, IP. WB: Mix equal volume of lysates with 2X SDS Loading Buffer. Boil the mixture for 10 min before loading (for membrane protein lysates, incubate the mixture at room temperature for 30 min). Load 5 ug lysate per lane.

Ask a question
Where is ASAP2 primarily localized within cells? 12/04/2022

ASAP2 is found in the cytoplasm, associated with cellular membranes, particularly the Golgi apparatus and endosomes.

Can ASAP2 be regulated by post-translational modifications? 10/18/2022

Yes, ASAP2 can undergo phosphorylation and ubiquitination, which may influence its stability, activity, and protein-protein interactions.

Can ASAP2 interact with other proteins? 05/17/2021

Yes, ASAP2 can interact with various proteins involved in membrane trafficking, including clathrin, AP1, AP3, and many others.

Is ASAP2 involved in cancer progression? 04/25/2020

ASAP2 has been implicated in cancer metastasis due to its ability to promote cell migration and invasion through its effect on the actin cytoskeleton.

How does ASAP2 regulate membrane trafficking? 01/06/2020

ASAP2 promotes the hydrolysis of GTP bound to Arf1, leading to the inactivation of Arf1 and subsequent modulation of vesicle budding, cargo sorting, and membrane remodeling.

What are the domains present in ASAP2? 09/21/2018

ASAP2 contains an SH3 domain, an ANK repeat domain, and a PH (pleckstrin homology) domain.

Are there any genetic variations associated with ASAP2? 05/25/2018

Genetic variations in ASAP2 have been identified in some studies, and they may be linked to certain diseases or phenotypes, although further research is needed to establish concrete associations.

Does ASAP2 play a role in cell adhesion? 01/31/2017

Yes, ASAP2 has been suggested to modulate cell adhesion and migration by regulating actin cytoskeleton dynamics through its interaction with Rho family GTPases.
